The Butterfly Room

The Butterfly Room

A elegant lady, ann, using a obsession with butter flies, is befriended with the eerily beautiful Alice. With her innocence, Alice establishes a troubling mum daughter relationship with Ann. Lured into her twisted planet, Ann discovers that she is not the recipient of the affections of the girl. Confronted by the other female friends of Alice, the shock of Ann awakens a dark, hidden past, unchaining a spiral of insanity: a series of bizarre and brutal crimes that Ann might have to commit to preserve her benign and deceitful looks. The one who recognizes there's something unsettling about Ann, is nine year old Julie, her nextdoor neighbour's daughter. With a child's curiosity, Julie begins to explore the corners of the flat of Ann, discovering a secret hidden in the walls of the butterfly room that is banned. Nobody considers what she has seen with the exception of the daughter of Ann. She articulates the young girl's fate lies in her handson.
