The Statement

The film is set in France in the 1990s, the French were conquered by the Germans early in World War II, an armistice has been signed in 1940 which efficiently divide France to a German active role in the North and also a semi-independent role within the south that became known as Vichy France. The Vichy government was a puppet regime controlled by the Germans. Section of the agreement had been that the Vichy Government could assist with the'cleansing' of all Jews.
