Chief B (Danny Lee) is a nonconformist CID member who resolves things more intuitively than by following the rules. He is a down-to-earth individual who is a mamma's boy, not very educated, and an exceptional member of the CID. Kit (Eddie Chan) is a police officer who has recently been promoted from rank-and-file to CID and is currently studying for the test to become an Inspector. Chief B takes him under his wing and assigns him to numerous gang-related investigations. Kit, who was formerly a by-the-book police officer, gains a great deal of knowledge from Chief B.
