Man on the Roof
While in the hospital, a police officer is killed by a bayonet. The investigation team, led by Martin Beck, soon discovers that the man had abused suspects as well as civilians on several occasions, but that any accusations had been dismissed due to his colleagues' mistaken loyalty. Because of the killer's volatile psyche, Beck needs to solve the case swiftly before more people are hurt.
