Emma is a divorced woman with a teen son who moves to a small town and attempts to start a horse ranch. Murphy is the town druggist who steers her business in the right direction. Things are going along as expected until her ex-husband shows up looking for a place to stay. Emma's son likes Murphy but desperately wants his father back, and the three of them form an intricate circle.
