Natha a poor farmer from Peepli village in the heart of rural India will lose his plot of land due to an unsettled bank loan. As a way of survival Farmer Natha can choose to pass away. His sibling enjoys to push him towards this distinct 'honour' however Natha hesitates. Regional elections are around the corner as well as what could have been another undetected event becomes a 'cause celebre' with everybody desiring a piece of the action.
