Derek Vineyard is paroled after serving 3 years in prison for murdering two thugs who tried to crack into/steal his truck. Throughout his brother, Danny Vineyard's narration, we learn that before going to prison, Derek was a skinhead and the pioneer of a violent white supremacist group who committed acts of racial offense throughout L.A. and his activities heavily influenced Danny. and Re formed out of prison, Derek severs touch and becomes determined to keep Danny from moving down the identical path that is violent since he did.
