Bad Company

Nelson Crowe is a CIA operative under the thumb of the Company for a challenged shipment of $50,000 in gold. They blackmail him right into benefiting the Grimes Organization, which is set up as an exclusive firm for hire, to blackmail popular people. Crowe, collaborating with Margaret Wells (an additional former Covert Procedures operative), blackmails and also bribes a State Supreme Court court, but the offer sours. One of Crowe's colleagues, Tod Stapp, uncovers Crowe's present CIA participation in a story to topple Grimes, and blackmails him to be cut in on the offer.
