It was Leonora Eames' youth dream come true. She'd wed Smith Ohlrig. Once she realizes the truth concerning her husband, but her innocent dream turned into a nightmare he is power angry and insane! Since he will not grant her a divorce, she's her life of luxury on Long Island and proceeds to work as a receptionist in a impoverished doctor's office in NYC's lower east side. After Smith divides her into a reconciliation, Leonora becomes pregnant. By the time she realizes she's hoping, she and a few of those doctors, Larry Quinada (James Mason), have fallen in love. But she's again enticed backed to her husband to give her child financial security. Her sadistic husband is hellbent on keeping her along with her child captive. What's going to happen to Leonora?
