Christoph Pehofer traveled through North America and Asia for nine months. Hostels were an uncommon accommodation option. Rather than that, he couchsurfed, sleeping in the living rooms of complete strangers. The film's primary focus is on the individuals who participate in Couchsurfing and their incredible diversity: from a young student to a family, to a Manhattan nudist and a transgender person in Bangkok.
