James has done time in prison for drowning a small child when he was a child, despite the fact that the body was never discovered in the river. He embarks on a hunt for the truth following a visit from his victim's mother upon parole. With little time and danger at every turn, James risks his freedom and life in order to uncover a trail of sins that may provide closure for the grieving mother.
