Friendship's Death

A robot envoy is dispatched to the planet to appeal to humans for peace. She was initially intended to attend MIT, but finds up in Amman, Jordan during the Black September events of 1970. Sullivan, a British journalist, offers her refuge in his hotel room when she is found roaming without documents after a bombing. She then reveals that she is a robot sent from another planet as a peace messenger. He is unsure whether or not to trust her account, but finds her unique perspective on the world fascinating. In a series of extremely smart and interesting dialogues, they investigate the human condition.
