Ghost in the Machine

Karl, a computer technician, is also known as the "Address Book Killer," who gets his victims' names from stolen address books. Terry and her son Josh come into the store to price software, and a salesman shows off a hand-held scanner by using Terry's address book. Karl gets the file, and while traveling to Terry's house that night in a torrential downpour, his car goes off the road and lands upside down in a cemetery. While Karl is having a CAT scan at the hospital, a bolt of lightning strikes the structure, transforming Karl's soul into electrical energy. Karl continues his murdering spree by utilizing the electrical grid and computer networks.
