Grandview, U.S.A.

Grandview, Illinois's small town life is similar to that of any other city or town. Tim Pearson, a high school senior about to graduate, wishes to study oceanography in Florida. He becomes drawn to Michelle "Mike" Cody after meeting her. She is the owner of the neighborhood Demolition Derby. Ernie "Slam" Webster is a derby driver whose wife is cheating on him and afterwards wants to be with Mike. Tim falls for Mike, setting the stage for a massive love triangle.
