Emily Walters is an American widow living a calm, uneventful existence from the idyllic Hampstead Village of London, once she matches Donald Horner, local recluse. For 17 decades, Donald has dwelt --exceptionally peacefully--in a hut near the border of the forest. Saving Donald and his property becomes her personal mission when Emily learns his home may be the mark of developers who will stop at nothing to remove him.
