Heavenquest: A Pilgrim's Progress

Inspired by Samuel Johnson's 1678 novel The Pilgrim's Progress, this work serves as a prologue to Bunyan's original works. When a regal man named Vangel is unexpectedly and strangely arrested, he is forced on a journey against his choice. After escaping the dark king's warriors and becoming injured, Vangel begins to experience weird dreams and visions of a mystery woman in white calling him from the uncharted realm of the North. Armed with a book titled "The Record of the Ancients" that he gets from a wise sage named Elder, Vangel sets off on an adventure that takes him through perilous mountain ranges, endless deserts, the Lake of Doubts, and the Forest of No Return. Along the trip, travelers share stories about a supposed good king and his son in the North, assuming he survives.
