Hurry Sundown

Following the Second World War, a cannery combine negotiates for purchasing a huge tract of uncultivated Georgia farmland. The part of the property is owned by Julie Ann Warren and was already optioned by her draft dodging husband, Henry. Now two smaller plots must be also obtained by the combine - one owned by the cousin Rad McDowell, a combat veteran of Henry having a wife and loved ones. A man whose mother had been Julie's childhood Mammy, The other from Reeve Scott. But Rad nor Reeve is considering attempting to sell and so they form a partnership to increase their property. Henry remains determined to push the property deal that is large although infuriated by the turn of events. So when Reeve's mother Rose expires, Henry attempts to convince his wife to control Reeve convinced the bigoted Judge Purcell will rule against a Negro.
