It All Starts Today

At first glance, this novel appears to be a simple tale of one man's quest to revive his once bustling mining town in northern France. Actor Philippe Torreton, best known for his role as Capitaine Conan's Captain Conan, plays Daniel, the principal of a nursery school in a community that is ravaged by joblessness. It's going to take all of Daniel's willpower to make this community come alive. It is Daniel's decision to take the law into his own hands when a parent who has arrived at school to pick up her children falls to the ground due to alcohol addiction and social services refuse to aid. In the long term, despite the opposition of the town's residents, his efforts are not futile
