Lost in White

Lost in White takes places at the north-east of China, at which two bodies have been uncovered under the ice of a frozen lake, un-identifiable was made by their remains by fish, however bearing the mark of having been dragged with a ice hook. In charge of the investigation is Captain Zhou (Tony Leung Ka Fai), a separate cop who is pulling his teenage daughter Xinyi (Zhou Dongyu). Soon he's joined by Wang Hao (Tong Dawei) a new Shanghai detective who is on a missing man case that has led him to the very same village where the murders happened. The two cases show to be connected: the missing person and the two victims were part of a quartet of individuals who years ago opened a refinery at the area, and discarded chemical waste in an unethical way that has poisoned the seas and led to malformed babies at the subsequent decade. Is the businessman that is missing the killer, another victim or a red herring?
