Monsieur Batignole

Back in 1942, within a occupied Paris, the grocer Edmond Batignole that is apolitical lives along with his wife and daughter in a little apartment at the construction of the grocery store. After collaborator and his future son in law of the German Pierre-Jean Lamour calls the Bernstein family to be arrested by the Nazis , they go on to the apartment that is confiscated. A few days after, the young Simon Bernstein escapes against the Germans and concerns his home. After he is found by Batignole he feels sorry and punishes him hiding Simon out of his spouse and from Pierre-Jean. Later, two cousins of Simon and he meet from the grocery's basement. When out the kids are found by Pierre-Jean, Batignole decides to travel with the children to Switzerland.
