Roald Dahl's Esio Trot

Mr. Hoppy is actually really just a timid older man who lives alone in a condo building. For so many years, he has been in love with Mrs. Silver, a woman who resides underneath him. Mr. Hoppy frequently leans across his balcony and buys polite conversation with Mrs. Silver, but he's too shy to disclose how he feels. Mr. Hoppy Agree to express his feelings Mrs. Silver, but he can never bring his lips to form the exact language. Mrs. Silver has a little pet tortoise, Alfie, whom she loves greatly . One morning, Mrs. Silver cites to Mr. Hoppy that although she's received Alfie for all decades, her furry friend has only grown a tiny bit and has gained only 3 oz in weight. She confesses she wishes she knew of some way to create her Alfie grown into a more tortoise. Mr. Hoppy unexpectedly thinks of a method to offer Mrs. Silver her wish and then win her affection.
