Tell Spring Not to Come This Year

When NATO soldiers left Afghanistan, the Afghan National Army (ANA) seized charge of Helmand Province, a perilous territory plagued by Taliban attacks. Security, let alone peace, appears to be unreachable; finding a common language in a country where everyone distrusts each other is even more difficult. During a year on the front lines in Helmand, the directors of this film accompanied an ANA company. Soldiers are paid irregularly, supplies are few, and their equipment is inadequate. They are unable to fight a war with the ISAF's equipment.
