The Conductor

On a tour to the United States, a violinist from a regional Polish orchestra, whose husband is the conductor of the group, makes contact with the world-renowned symphonic conductor. As it turns out, he was once in love with the mother of the violinist. The slightly unstable hypochondriac conductor returns to Poland to direct the local orchestra. He also attempts to reignite an old love affair by substituting the musician for her mother. Both personally and professionally, her spouse harbors resentment toward the conductor.
