The Last of the Finest

The Los Angeles Police Department dismisses an elite gang of vice cops for being too ardent in their drug battle. It's obvious that some of their bosses are involved in the drug network. Four of the blacklisted cops team up (which shortly becomes three when one is assassinated early) to fight the drug ring covertly. They acquire funds for firearms purchases by defrauding small-time drug traffickers. They then pursue the kingpin, fully armed (Boyd).
