In a nearby cave, anthropologist Dr. Brockton discovers a prehistoric troglodyte who is a "missing link" from the Ice Age and is half-caveman, half-ape. She is able to connect with him and domesticate him through medical research before he is released by a furious land developer and goes on the rampage, terrifying the local populace.
