Twelve Monkeys

In the year 2035, convict James Cole volunteers to be shipped in time to discover the source of a virus that damaged the majority of of the earth's population and forced the survivors. But he is arrested and locked in a mental hospital when Cole is mistakenly sent to 1990 in the place of 1996. There he meets psychologist Dr. Kathryn Railly, and patient Jeffrey Goines, the son of a famed virus expert, who might hold the secret to the mysterious fictitious band, the Army of the 12 Monkeys, thought to be responsible for unleashing the killer disease.
