Chloe, a student filmmaker stranded in the suburbs, begins filming a documentary on her family's tumultuous past. During the filming, she and her best friend Ed see a hysterical girl appear to escape from a neighbor's house, only to be dragged back inside. Is she, as her neighbors claim, a rehabilitated drug addict? Or is she truly in danger at the hands of people who claim to care for her? Chloe and Ed start running surveillance, but as they dig deeper, they discover a world of strange beliefs, ancient religions, and dark witchcraft. Their pursuit of the truth will culminate in a live webcast that will terrify viewers and cause them to doubt the very validity of what they are witnessing. Webcast draws inspiration from a variety of horror and thriller films, including Rear Window, The Wicker Man, The Blair Witch Project, Rosemary's Baby, Paranormal Activity, and Race with the Devil.
