How to Buy a Friend

Park Chan-Hong is a typical student in his senior year of high school. He is under a lot of pressure from his parents to do well in school, despite the fact that he is a talented writer. Park Chan-Hong does not have any particular aspirations or goals in life. He has gotten to know Eom Se-Yoon, a student at the same high school where he does. She is well-liked by her classmates. While this is going on, Heo Don-Hyeok is one of Park Chan-students. Hong's Heo Don-Hyeok does not have any interest in pursuing an education, therefore he works to earn money to cover his living needs. One day, Heo Don-Hyeok comes to Park Chan-rescue Hong's as she is being bullied at school. Heo Don-Hyeok approaches Park Chan-Hong with a request to borrow 300,000 won, which is equivalent to $270 in American currency. However, the money that Park Chan-Hong gives him to borrow was originally intended to pay for the tuition at his private institute. Park Chan-Hong is currently without a destination after school due to the lack of available options. He starts hanging out with Heo Don-Hyeok more frequently.
