Icons was a television show on G4 that focused in the world of video games on people, businesses, services and products, history, and landmarks. It focused on popculture and was re launched in 2006. It had been cancelled soon later. On May 10, 2006, it had been announced that Icons had been relaunching on June 3 with an episode focusing on J.J. Abrams. The show may feature a wider scope on people and things"men 18--34 worry about, admire and emulate." Episodes will concentrate on The Onion Marc Ecko, and Family Guy. This change in format was suspected, because of this recent episodes regarding George A. Romero, Frank Miller and the history of their King Kong franchise. The gaming themed episodes continued to air the system on sporadically until 2008.
