Invasion

Invasion is an American science fiction tv show which aired on ABC for just 1 season from September 21, 2005. Somewhat similar to Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the series told the story of the aftermath of a storm where a small Florida town is infiltrated by water-based creatures and begin to take control the organs of the inhabitants of town through a cloning process. The series was made by Shaun Cassidy Productions and Warner Bros.. Television. Because of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the aftermath in the southern usa, early promotions were pulled by ABC. The advertisements then switched emphasis completely into the alien invasion aspect of the show, as no reference was received by the hurricane. The premiere was pinpointed with a warning which the series featured images of a hurricane which viewers might be sensitive to.
