Life of Crime

Life of Crime revolves round women officer named Denise Woods. Set across a span of three decades (beginning with all the Brixton Riots of 1985), the drama follows Denise because she rises through the ranks of the Metropolitan Police Service. She initially struggles within an extremely male-orientated profession where sexism is rife and female officers must fight to be accepted. However, as one breaks September morning, Denise accompanies DS Ray Deans into some crime scene to discover the battered, bruised and strangled body of teenager Anna. With an earlier encounter Denise is decided to bring Anna's killer . Denise works from the very clear instruction and advice of her senior officers also follows her own lines of enquiry since the conditions of the murder of Anna aren't what they appear. While the enquiry advances Denise's fervor for that case directs her to fall foul DCI Ferguson, of her senior officer.
