Ode to Joy

Is it possible for five single, self-sufficient women with careers who live in the Ode to Joy apartment building to find happiness on their own terms? An Di is a successful businesswoman who studied in New York and then moved back to China to look for her younger brother. An Di came back to China after she completed her education. Qu Xiao Xiao is only 25 years old, however she already runs her own company despite her young age. Fang Sheng Mei was a "Princess of the Streets" when she was younger, but she has now overcome her humble beginnings to work for a multinational corporation. Qiu Ying Ying is a 20-year-old girl from a rural area who moved to the large metropolis in the hopes of finding success there. Guan Ju Er, who is 20 years old and comes from a highly educated family, is about to enter the workforce for the very first time, and she must figure out what it is that she truly wants out of life. There is at least one man, and possibly more than one, who is vying for the attention of these women. Dr. Zhao is an attractive man who likes to flirt with his patients. The calm and collected Qi Dian is a successful businessman. Sheng Mei's faithful buddy Wang Bai Chuan is someone who has never wavered in their support for one another. The chaebol Yao Bin belongs to the second generation. Tan Zong Ming is An Di's supervisor. Despite the fact that they have known one other since elementary school, An Di has refused to be Tan Zong Ming's friend.
