Police Squad!

Police Squad! Is a tv comedy series broadcast in 1982, created by David Zucker, Jim Abrahams and Jerry Zucker, and starring Leslie Nielsen. A spoof of police procedurals featured Abrahams Zucker and Zucker's nonsequiturs, word play and usual sight gags. It bore a particular resemblance to the late 1960s show Felony Squad, M-Squad and also the Lee Marvin cop series while a parody of shows and movies. Although cancelled after only six episodes, the series spawned the prosperous Naked Gun film series. Television Guide ranked it 7 on their 2013 list of 60 demonstrates were"Cancelled too quickly".
