Rebelde Way is a Martín Fierro Award--nominated soap opera created and produced by Cris Morena. It aired May 2002 to 18 December 2003. The show was broadcast in several countries including Peru, Germany, Israel, Spain and Uruguay, achieving success. In addition, many remakes of all Rebelde Way are made Rebelde from Mexican Televisa. In 2009, Jennifer Lopez bought the rights to get an U.S. adaptation. Rebelde Way is set from the Elite Way School. This school's students are students with scholarships, as well as the members of most wealthy families. The show follows the lives of e-lite Way students, their parents and their professors, and it includes the use of vocabulary and phrases by the top class.
