The literary story starts after North Korean Jang Sung-taek's execution. An order boils down reactivating erstwhile spy Park Hye-rim who's spent years in South Korea as an ordinary 26, one evening. She's given the mission to bring and turn Kim Seonu, in her own son. Cool-headed genius Seonu can be an information analyst on North Korea. His girlfriend Yoon-jin is a tourguide for tourists who can't speak Chinese, if Seonu helped her translate, and so they fell in love. Hye-rim is forced to choose between country and her son, and risks her own life to see that the option through.
