When Kwon Hyuk Joon's grandson, Hyuk Joon, is born, his grandfather, the head of the traditional Kwon family, agrees to an arranged marriage between his grandson, Hyuk Joon, and Yoon Jung Sook. The two families eventually lose contact because Jung Sook's family faces financial difficulties and is forced to flee shortly after the contract is signed. Jung Sook has matured into a defiant and strong-willed young woman who simply wants to live her life her own. She is the polar opposite of her aspirational counterpart, Hyuk Joon. When the two meet again, they clash horribly; Jung Sook regards her fiancee as nothing more than boring, and Hyuk Joon regards Jung Sook as an immature child. Nonetheless, they marry. What follows is the story of their new existence as a couple and the challenges they endure.
