The Tribe
The Tribe is a fresh Zealand/British TV series. It is set at a near-future in which all adults are wiped from a virus, leaving the kids of the world to fend for themselves. The show's focus is on an unnamed city occupied by tribes of kids and teenagers. It had been filmed in and around Wellington, New Zealand.
The collection was created by Raymond Thompson and Harry Duffin and by the Cloud 9 Screen Entertainment Group Together with the UK's Channel 5 was developed and produced. It has aired on over 40 broadcast networks round the world.
It debuted on Channel 5 to 24 April 1999 and quickly gained a huge group of fans. From 1999 to 2003, five series and also 260 half-hour episodes are made. Series 6 had been scheduled to begin filming 2003, but Nick Wilson, of Channel 5, and Raymond Thompson believed that"although the series was still performing well, the cast was getting too old along with the series was just starting to elongate the heart proposal." They believed that the characters were not children fending for themselves without adults. As a result, the series was cancelled. Channel 5 aired the 2 episodes on 6 September 2003.
