Mental is a television show produced by Fox's subsidiary Fox Telecolombia, that aired on FOX international channels for Europe, Latin America and Asia in the summer and autumn of 2009, starring Annabella Sciorra and Chris Vance. Mental was executive-produced from Deborah Joy LeVine -- founder of this powerful play series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and the Lifetime series The Division, and executive producer of Anyday Today, Dawson's Creek and the CBS series Early Edition -- and her brother as well as writing/producing partner, Dan LeVine. Following its own U.S. introduction, it erupts in 35 additional nations. Fox Latin America aired the first installment as a"Worldwide Premiere" on June 2, 2009. Fox introduced the pilot episode on May 26, 2009. Fox TV Studios ordered 13 episodes. It began production at the Fox Telecolombia manufacturing facilities in Bogotá on June 2, 2008.
Even though the show was filmed in the city of symbolizing la, no actor was cast as a character and few were throw because of the nature of this sequence. As stated by TVWeek, Jacqueline McKenzie, Derek Webster, Nicholas Gonzalez, along with Marisa Ramirez were added to the throw of mental,"probably as recurrent characters."
