Mental Coach Jegal
Jegal Gil (Jung Woo) was a member of the national taekwondo team at one point, but he was kicked off the squad as a result of an unprecedented incident that he provoked. Now, Jegal Gil has joined the national squad as a mental coach and has moved into the athlete's village. He starts collaborating with the athletes, one of whom is Cha Ga-Eul (Lee Yoo-Mi). Cha Ga-Eul is a speed skater who competes in the short track discipline. She triumphed at the world championships, taking home the gold medal, but she is struggling to find her footing at the moment. She is not one to readily share her feelings with others. In the meantime, Jegal Gil harbors ill will against Ku Tae-Man (Kwon Yool), who heads up the athletic association's human rights center. Ku Tae-Man, who was also a part of the national taekwondo team, is the person who influenced Jegal Gil's life in a significant way. The spirit of Ku Tae-Man is one of fierce competition, and the dojo places an emphasis on performance above everything else. Park Seung-Ha (also known as Park Se-Young) is currently employed by Jegal Gil as a counselor at the athlete's community.
